How can you become a fashion designer or model?

I’m only in 6th grade, but I have a knack for fashion. I’ve always wanted to be a fashion designer or model, and now’s the time to make my dream come true. Please tell everything you know.
If some people think my age is too young, go ahead and tell me, but this is my dream and has been for as long as I can remember.
I can’t get a degree since I am too young for one. So, please don’t answer with “Get a degree.”
Everyone tells me I’m pretty enough to be a model and they tell me I should model.

Two occupations fashion design and fashion merchandising are similar, but not exactly alike. Do you know the difference between the two.

My major is not fashion, it’s either engineering or math.

What are the supplies for fashion designing?

I need to get art supplies since i’m interested in fashion designing. I have a sketchbook and trace pad but i need high quality coloring pencils/coloring utensils that aren’t too expensive, but i need to know where to get these things. Please help. How can i meet someone important in the fashion industry?

I am trying to get noticed in the fashion world so i can become a stylist/cosmetologist/fashion designer, but i just don’t know how to do it. I live in California and i’m planning on going to a fashion school next year. I was inspired by Lauren Conrad(the hills), she got an opportunity that rarely comes. I guess it’s really not what you know, but who you know.

I want to be a fashion designer- which books should I start reading/studying to really understand fashion?

For a long time now I’ve wanted to be a fashion designer, or stylist. I already read fashion magazines, but they don’t provide much in the way of history, etc. Which books would you suggest to a teenager who wanted to understand the history and ways of fashion and fashion design?

What fashion design game is best for a young child on the Nintendo DS Lite?

My daughter is five and her big brother has DS that she really loves. We are thinking about getting her one for Christmas. She wants a fashion design game and mentioned Imagine Fashion Designer.
