What are the different categories of ‘extreme fashion’? Are there official names for different types?

I’m looking into doing more intensive research on ‘extreme fashion’ but I need to know if there are more specific styles for extreme fashion. With names. Names please.
I mean different types as in runway and professional fashion, as well. Not necessarily goth or punk.

What supplies does a fashion designer need?

I am starting as a fashion designer, and I have looked for the answer to this, but for some reason I cannot find anything. What supplies (materials) does a fashion designer need. I want to be able to create professional looking dresses and apparel before I go to fashion school. Any ideas? I already know the basics, like a ruler and scissors, but feel free to include those in your answer!

How can I make my fashion designs into real clothes?

Is there such thing as a fashion design class revolved around Japanese fashion?

I’d like to know if there are colleges and/or classes in the US (preferably California) that revlolve around Japanese fashion. I don’t know much about it and I haven’t found very good things on Google. How about any books about the topic?
I would like to travel to Japan in the future, so I am planning on learning more about it just by being there myself, but until that time I would like to find another resource. Please help if you can. Thanks!

Fashion rules and do you still follow them?

I am planning a new wardrobe and want to know some fashion do’s and dont’s. Is no blue with black or brown with black still followed? Or the no white after labor day? What are other fashion rules I should consider when buying new updated clothing?
